Supervised Parenting Time Niagara
When families separate or divorce, there are times when parenting time between parents and children, or the exchange of children between parents must be supervised.
Through SPTN (Supervised Parenting Time Niagara), Pathstone provides a safe, neutral, and comfortable environment for either an exchange of children between parents, or supervised parenting time to take place.
Supervised Exchanges
When family members are unable to communicate or come in contact with one another, Pathstone provides a neutral, supervised location for children to be transferred from one parent to another. Parents do not come in contact with one another when the child is picked up or returned. Staff communicate child related information between parents such as medication, health or behaviourial concerns.
Supervised Parenting Time
(In-person and virtual services)
In a group setting, Pathstone provides a safe, neutral location for parents to spend time with their children while adult issues are being resolved. Parenting time is fully supervised by trained staff/ volunteers to ensure children are safe and everyone is comfortable. Staff encourage positive parent / child interaction and will intervene only if required.
The Intake Process
Once both parties have completed and submitted the application form and a copy of the Court Order/agreement has been received, Pathstone staff will contact you to update you on the status of your application. Once we can arrange intake interviews, both parties will have separate scheduled meetings with the Service Manager so necessary information can be gathered, program expectations can be explained and to address any concerns that you may have. Upon completion of the intake interviews and the child orientation, a decision will be made about your participation.

Tuesdays – 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Saturdays – 9:30am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Sundays – 1:00pm – 3:00pm & 4:00pm – 6:00pm
*Exchanges done at 12:30pm & 6:30pm
St. Catharines
Fridays – 6:00pm – 8:00pm
*Exchanges done at 5:30pm & 8:30pm
Saturdays – 9:30am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 2:30pm
*Exchanges done at 9:00am & 3:00pm
Sundays – 10:00 am – 12:00(noon)
*Exchanges done at 9:30am & 12:30pm
Niagara Falls
Sundays – 1:00pm – 3:00pm & 4:00pm – 6:00pm
*Exchanges done 12:30pm & 6:30pm.
Cancellation
If you have to cancel parenting time or an exchange, please call the SPTN staff at the phone number provided at your intake. Please do not email as SPTN staff do not regularly check their email on shift.
Please note
There is a 2-hour maximum for supervised parenting time at the discretion of the SPTN Service Manager. Pathstone has the right to revoke participation by clients who regularly cancel or miss their service.
