Project Plaid

What is Project Plaid?

Project Plaid was created in honour of Amelia Durocher, whose life ended far too soon at age 18. Known for her signature plaid style and her vibrant spirit, Amelia’s story sparked a movement. Today, Project Plaid carries her legacy forward by raising critical funds for Pathstone Mental Health’s walk-in clinics, ensuring kids and youth in Niagara can access immediate care when they need it most.

On Friday, November 7, 2025, Niagara will wear plaid—not just for awareness, but for action. Together, we’ll raise $100,000 to power Pathstone’s walk-in clinics, keeping the doors open for kids in crisis.

Why Walk-In Clinics Matter

Mental health crises don’t come with a schedule. A child in crisis can’t wait on a list or for an appointment—they need support immediately.

Pathstone’s walk-in clinics provide:

  • Same-day access to mental health professionals
  • No referral required
  • No waitlist
  • Confidential, compassionate care

Every $50 raised funds a youth’s first walk-in clinic session. Your plaid makes this possible.
