Clinical Support Worker – Contract

This position works across all three clinical programs that require backfill – Live-In Treatment, Day Treatment (Elementary and Secondary), Support Services and Walk-In. Hours of work in this position varies and require flexibility to work shifts that fall between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. to cover shifts in the above listed programs. This position will be responsible for covering program shift vacancies, both pre-planned and short-notice absences in accordance with the attached agreements. Schedules for this position will be posted one month in advance.

Qualifications:

• Social Service or Child and Youth Worker Certificate;
• Ability to work independently and deal tactfully and effectively with children, youth, families and service providers;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Work experience in community outreach and crisis intervention programs;
• 2-3 years practical experience with children, youth and families;
• Familiarity with offering services in a virtual environment, including an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities, are an asset.
• Individuals holding a position with Pathstone Mental Health who are required by Ontario Regulation 155/18 to provide a Police Record Check, including a satisfactory Broad Sector Check every three years and Offence Declaration yearly;
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR and Safe Food Handling;
• Meets medical requirements under the Child and Family Services Act, Regulations for Licensing of Residences;
• Must be willing to be trained in Safe Management Training or equivalent training offered by the Employer;
• Bilingual in (French and English) is preferred;
• Experience working with the Aboriginal community is an asset;
• Valid Driver’s License, able to supply own vehicle and be insurable to drive in Ontario;

Notes:

This position is participating in the LITS Scheduling Pilot. Hours of work may include 12 hour and shorter shifts in order to reflect 37.5 hours per week.
Please note that paragraph 5 of the Memorandum of Agreement dated July 8, 2022, will be temporarily suspended during the Pilot Period.
