Pathstone Mental Health is Niagara’s primary provider of treatment for children until their 18th birthday. Pathstone provides services to more than 10,000 children and youth each year and to over 1,500 parents, guardians and adults.

Manager, Quality Assurance

Permanent Full-Time | This is a non-unionized position | $78,278 – $98,293 Annually

The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring a climate of continuous improvement in all organizational areas through development, updating, implementing and monitoring quality assurance systems and programs to control and assure the safety, quality and advancing of Pathstone Values and Strategic Plan. The Manager, Quality Assurance will lead the organization in its ability to utilize data to make decisions. Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.


  • Commitment to Pathstone Mental Health’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values;
  • MA, MSW and current registration with the applicable regulatory body;
  • At least two (2) years experience in healthcare or equivalent, preferably in a research and clinical function;
  • Experience in project management and quality research;
  • Familiarity with children’s mental health programs, relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial employment and health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation;
  • Strong commitment to client centric service orientation;
  • Experience in building a culture supportive of continuous learning and improvement;
  • Strong knowledge in quality assurance principles and quality management, including design and operation of effective quality;
  • Ability to develop and implement customized Quality Assurance procedures specified by internal/external health care specification;
  • Advanced analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate healthcare problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions;
  • Skills in building strong teams and promoting teamwork;
  • Personal integrity and ability to work with confidential information;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and is proficient in writing reports;
  • Superior skills in planning, organization and managing multiple priorities yet being flexible, adaptable and able to respond to changing needs;
  • Proven conflict management skills and collaborative decision-making ability;
  • Effective presentation skills and experienced in development of training educational sessions;
  • Strong attention to details and data analysis skills;
  • Ability to work independently and work as part of a functional and creative team in a team environment;
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;
  • Current Police Records Check within six (6) months prior to hire;
  • Bilingual in (French and English) is an asset;
  • Valid Driver’s License, able to supply own vehicle and insurable to drive in Ontario
